Love and Derby (Chapter 1)

Love and Derby  A Short Story Disclaimer   This is a complete original story, please don't steal.   I got inspired for this story while on a Kentucky trip for my cousins Bluegrass Party, which is like a mini–Derby Party that they have every year, and then when I went back for the Derby a couple weeks later.   This is a work of fiction, any characters and names (horses, people) are entirely fiction.   There will be restaurants though and those are real.   If at some point I have Aubrey sing (maybe), those songs are going to be an original (I write songs) so please don't steal those either.   Enjoy the story, feel free to comment and vote if ya want, I'm not pushy.  Be safe and have an amazing day,  - Claire  The Week Before "Is that all?"   I glance at the list in my hand, nodding as my eyes flick over the words.  "That's all."   My mom places a bag of chips in the cart, and we head to the checkout.  We just arrived in Kentucky for our family's an

Short Story Collection (No. 1)

 Stories that are in my Short Story Collection (No. 1) whether or not they're on here yet, it might take me a while to post them, but here are all the first ones.   Rivals (Academic romance)  Love and Derby (Best Friends)  Real or Fake? (Fake girlfriend)  Roommates (Friends to lovers))  Unexpected Love (Arranged Marriage)  Most of these are in my drafts, but 2 of those are published on Wattpad.  I can't wait to finish them and publish them all in one book, but that'll take a little while.  Hopefully no more than a year, right now they're just side projects.   And if you didn't see in the last post (I added it in after posting it) I am thinking about changing the title of this blog, but I'm not sure yet.  I probably will, though.   Anyways, be safe, have a great day & God bless!   - Claire <3

So....

 Hey peoples :)  So, despite the post I put on Nerdy Writer's Fan Fictions and the fact that I haven't updated this blog in FOREVER, I am not giving up on this blog just yet.  I think I have some books I can put on here, but Chasing Dreams is going to get taken down and probably rewritten (again), along with Forget Me Not.  Maybe they'll be put back on at some point, but I don't know.   And I think I may have a way to fix the updating issue I had in the past where whenever I updated it would put the words off the page so you couldn't read the whole thing.  My description probably doesn't make sense, but yeah.   I'm trying to make a short-story collection, and I have two of those stories on my Wattpad account, AvidWriter4Life (I have 2 accounts).   The Dreamer (@AvidWriter4Life) - Wattpad   I'm going to try and get better at updating, I promise.  But this will be second to Runaways, so we'll see what it looks like.  Especially when school starts agai

 Hey, guys.   So I know I haven't been updating very well on this blog, and I apologize.  I've been really focused on Runaways and trying to publish it.  I know NerdyWritersFanFics has been getting a few updates and this one hasn't.  I want to explain.     Sometimes it's easier for me to focus on fan fictions instead of original stories.  I've been a little stressed about keeping up with Runaways and Runaways #2, with making sure I'll be able to keep up with the series once it's published.  Because once it's published there's no going back.  I have to continue and pull through, which isn't easy because I have so many books and new ones keep coming up all the time.     Right now, Spies and Forget Me Not have been on writer's block for so long I'm going to take them off and review them, hopefully get some ideas, and actually write an outline for them to help me plan how everything's gonna go-including Raining Fire and The Scroll Writers
